Cos.Mec offers effective solutions for pharmaceutical mixing processes, ensuring homogeneous blending in closed environments.
Our mixers for palletized and wheeled bins represent an ideal solution for mixing pharmaceutical powders and granules inside containers that can be of very different volumes (100-1250 liters for wheeled bins and 200-2500 liters for palletized bins). The blending quality achieved is very high particularly with the use of the mixer’s double inclination feature combined with the effects of alternated clockwise and anticlockwise rotation. The machine automation is based on the use of a Siemens touch screen and PLC that make it possible to set automatic blending cycles with specific speeds and durations and to print reports.
Our bin mixers are made of AISI 304 stainless steel with seamless weldings and external satin polishing RA ≤0.8µM.
Optional features include: the double inclination of the mixer’s rotation axis, bar code readers for batch automation identification, protection panels around the working area made of stainless steel and lexan and ex proof electrical components (protection class EEX-d-IIB T4).

Cos.Mec offers advanced solutions for pharmaceutical wet granulation processes, during which products are transformed into granules either inside one pot only (High Shear Mixer of Fluid Bed Dryer) or within these two machines used separately to first granulate and then dry the product.
Our High Shear Mixers machines (HSMs) are ideal for wet mixing and granulation of pharmaceutical powers. They allow both manual and automatic management of processing cycles and they are available also as through wall solutions. Their capacity ranges from 25 liters up to 1200 liters.

Cos.Mec offers various solutions for the dispensing area of pharmaceutical factories, where products are weighed, sieved, calibrated or milled and then put into drums or bins to be carried to the various production departments.
Our cone mills are used to calibrate dry or wet products with different granule sizes and obtain an even grind using a screen with holes of the required size and shape. When the product reaches the calibration chamber, it is crushed onto the screen by a rotating blade. The capacity of our cone mill ranges from 600 Kg up to 1600 Kg per hour depending on the product used.
Some of the main features of Cos.Mec cone mills include: the quality of construction materials (AISI 316L for parts in contact with product and AISI 304 for parts not in contact), mechanical seals made of st. st. or PTFE cooled by air or nitrogen, fast screen replacement, inverter for speed adjustment, etc.
