From 16 to 18 June 2026, EXPO XXI Warsaw hosted the seventh edition of PCI Days – the largest and most important B2B trade fair of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, dedicated to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and dietary supplement industries. For three days, the event brought together manufacturers, technology suppliers, representatives of production facilities, industry experts, and professionals responsible for product development, quality, procurement, investment, manufacturing and the implementation of new solutions.
This year’s edition confirmed the dynamic growth of PCI Days and the event’s increasing importance as a platform integrating three closely related industrial sectors. An expanded exhibition area, three parallel conference zones, practical workshops and broad representation from across the supply chain created excellent conditions for participants to acquire knowledge, compare available solutions and hold specific business discussions.
Following the record-breaking 2025 edition, we continued to develop the event format. Responding to market needs, we expanded the content programme by introducing a dedicated Dietary Supplements Conference Zone, created a dedicated Contract Manufacturing & Private Label Zone, and organised the exhibition across two thematic halls. Our aim was to provide a clear and accessible environment in which participants could efficiently identify relevant technologies, services and potential business partners.
The PCI Days 2026 exhibition was divided into two halls, enabling a clear and structured presentation of a broad range of solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and dietary supplement industries.
In the area dedicated to machinery and manufacturing technologies, participants could explore equipment used at various stages of technological processes – from raw material and formulation preparation, through mixing, dosing, tableting, encapsulation, filling and secondary packaging, to final packaging, marking and finished-product inspection. Exhibitors also presented solutions supporting production-line automation, process monitoring, maintenance, workplace ergonomics, and improvements in manufacturing repeatability and safety.
The second part of the exhibition brought together companies offering raw materials, active ingredients, excipients, packaging, labels, printing services, laboratory equipment, IT systems, logistics solutions, and services supporting product design, development and market launch. As a result, visitors could assess not only individual machines or components, but complete processes – from product concept and development through manufacturing, quality control, packaging, warehousing and distribution.
Many stands featured live equipment presentations, technology demonstrations and individual consultations with technical representatives. Participants could directly compare solutions and discuss process parameters, integration with existing infrastructure, and implementation requirements for specific manufacturing facilities.
This exhibition layout enabled us to create a comprehensive market overview. Visitors could meet suppliers of individual components as well as companies providing complete production lines, engineering solutions, implementation support and after-sales service.
The trade fair created opportunities for meetings between representatives of different corporate functions. Attendees included professionals responsible for manufacturing, technology, research and development, quality, procurement, maintenance, logistics, packaging, investment and regulatory compliance. Consequently, discussions at the stands often covered technological, quality, economic and organisational aspects alike.
A major feature of this year’s edition was the expanded Contract Manufacturing & Private Label Zone. It was designed for companies seeking partners for the development, manufacture, packaging or market launch of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and dietary supplements.
The zone featured contract manufacturers offering support at different stages of project delivery – from product concept and formulation development, through the selection of raw materials and packaging, technological trials and testing, to commercial-scale manufacturing, packaging and documentation preparation.
For many participants, the zone provided an opportunity to directly compare service scopes, available dosage and product forms, minimum order quantities, production capacities and the technological capabilities of potential contractors. Discussions also covered formulation scale-up, cost optimisation, supply-chain management, quality assurance and product compliance with market requirements.
The development of this part of the event confirmed the growing importance of contract manufacturing and private-label models. An increasing number of companies are seeking flexible partners with appropriate technological, laboratory and quality capabilities that can assume responsibility for selected stages of product development and manufacturing.
The content programme has been one of the core elements of PCI Days from the outset. In 2026, we organised three parallel conference zones: pharmaceutical, cosmetics and, for the first time, a zone dedicated specifically to the dietary supplement sector.
Each zone focused on the specific characteristics of its market and its technological, quality and regulatory requirements. Participants could therefore plan their attendance at selected presentations and create an individual programme pathway aligned with their professional responsibilities and current projects.
The Pharmaceutical Conference Zone focused on issues relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturers, technology suppliers, and professionals responsible for quality, manufacturing, product development and process compliance.
Experts discussed manufacturing automation and digitalisation, optimisation of technological processes, quality control, risk management, validation, formulation development and scale-up, and requirements for manufacturing infrastructure. The programme also addressed pharmaceutical logistics, supply-chain security, procurement, packaging and the implementation of new technologies in regulated manufacturing environments.
Presentations based on first-hand experience from manufacturing facilities attracted particular interest. Speakers presented specific implementation cases, discussed barriers encountered during project execution and identified solutions that could be applied in day-to-day business operations.
The Cosmetics Conference Zone programme addressed the challenges of rapid product development, changing consumer expectations, increasing regulatory pressure, and the need to combine speed to market with quality and safety.
Topics included cosmetics manufacturing processes, formulation development, raw-material selection and quality control, cooperation between R&D and marketing teams, formulation scale-up, and preparation for industrial production. The programme also covered stability, microbiology, process safety, packaging, raw-material trends and opportunities for implementing new solutions in manufacturing facilities.
The programme also addressed change management, reformulation and the adaptation of products to new regulatory and market requirements. The presentations demonstrated the importance of cooperation between R&D, quality, manufacturing, procurement and marketing teams, as well as external suppliers.
For the first time, we organised a separate Dietary Supplements Conference Zone. Its introduction responded to the sector’s growing presence at the trade fair and the increasing demand for specialist knowledge relating to manufacturing processes, quality, formulation and regulatory requirements.
Over three days, the zone covered new-product development, active-ingredient selection, formulation stability, raw-material quality, testing, safety, and requirements for labelling and product communication. Contract manufacturing, supplier cooperation, formulation scale-up and the adaptation of processes to increasing business scale were also important parts of the programme.
Speakers emphasised the importance of proper product-development planning, quality control at individual stages and responsible documentation management. They also discussed the role of packaging, the protection of active ingredients, and consistency between formulation, product form, claimed properties and legal requirements.
The new zone became a meeting place for manufacturers, technologists, laboratory representatives, raw-material suppliers, quality experts and contract manufacturing companies.
The presentations were complemented by workshops held in smaller groups. They were designed for participants seeking a more practical form of knowledge acquisition and an opportunity to work directly with experts.
The workshops enabled participants to explore selected topics in greater depth, analyse specific cases and discuss issues arising in the day-to-day operations of manufacturing facilities. Their format encouraged detailed questions, experience sharing and consultation with experts possessing practical implementation knowledge. The limited number of participants made it possible to conduct more in-depth discussions and relate the content directly to specific business situations.
From the outset, PCI Days has been designed as an event that facilitates direct business contact. Three days of meetings enabled participants to hold discussions with existing partners, identify new suppliers and exchange experience with representatives of other manufacturing facilities.
The joint presence of all three sectors also highlighted areas in which the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and dietary supplement industries use similar technologies, competencies and cooperation models. These include automation, quality control, formulation development, packaging processes, digitalisation, laboratory operations and supply-chain management.
The event therefore enabled cross-industry knowledge exchange and encouraged participants to identify solutions already proven in other market segments.
This year’s edition confirmed that PCI Days is not only a trade fair, but also the largest and most important comprehensive platform of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe for the exchange of knowledge, experience and business contacts across the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and dietary supplement industries.
The extensive exhibition, the presence of suppliers representing the entire value chain, three specialist conference zones, workshops and a debate enabled participants to examine manufacturing processes from technological, quality, regulatory, organisational and business perspectives.
